The city of Novato, population approximately 51,000, is located in the northern region of the San Francisco Bay Area.  The city is conveniently located just 10 miles northwest of San Rafael and 30 miles north of San Francisco.  Only ten minutes from the premier wine growing country in the counties of Napa and Sonoma, it is a perfect destination for tourists and business travelers alike.  The climate in Novato is similar to that of Mediterranean, with warm, dry summers and cool, wet winters.  Just twenty minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge - there is no end to the possibilities of things to do and see in and around Novato!

Incorporated in1960, Novato dates back to the Miwok Native Indians in the 1300’s, where the site of several Coast Miwok Indian villages were located on what is now downtown Novato.  The Marin Museum of the American Indian and Olompali State Park are two amazing sites that celebrate Novato’s early history.

If golf is on your agenda, the StoneTree Golf Club offers one of the most scenic courses in Northern California.  It is designed for the enjoyment of both tournament level players and those of average skill.  And, if you’re looking for family fun, you can’t go wrong with Stafford Lake Park.  Located just three miles outside of Novato, it offers the perfect vista for fishing, picnicking, and hiking!
